the journey

Cerberati is striving to bring magnificent structure, exceptional health and a noble temperament together to create the perfect re-incarnation of the ancient molosser the true ancestor of the Canis Pugnax. Bringing valuable resources from mentors together to facilitate a truly utopian breeding programme. The forgotten beasts of the ancient scriptures will walk amongst men once more - this is Cerberati's life-long challenge - what the Cane Corso should be, a real beast!

the method

Cerberati adheres to a strict code of conduct, the Cerberati Code. Not a follower, but, an adventurer who has took an oath to never follow the grain. Cerberati promises to uphold its inherited tradition of pioneering and perfection at any cost. Where others falter and crumble, Cerberati thrives for the challenge and failure is traded hand-in-hand with success. The dormant DNA is out there, with precise, calculated planning and execution, Cerberati will endeavor to succeed.

the passion

Cerberati's passion for the Cane Corso and Neapolitan Mastiff is on par with the passion of life, success, procreation and love. Inspiration rising from the deepest chambers of the heart and injecting every ounce of energy from soul, body and mind into the task in hand, truly motivating the desire to one day succeed in one of the greatest challenges many breeders alike have faced... the challenge is complete resurrection and restoration of the ancient molossers.

As demand for Cerberati dogs has outgrown the number of planned litters, we're now only accepting exclusive clientele. What this practically means is that only the most keen and dedicated of potential owner applications will be considered for our rare dogs. Exclusivity brings to the table a much more coordinated and selective homing strategy.

Cerberati redefines the mark of the beast

Cerberati's picture
written by Cerberati on Monday 28 November 2011 at 08:25
So, how athletic and agile are our dogs? What is their stamina like? If I told you that they are like bull terriers trapped in molosser framed dogs, would you believe me? The proof is in the pudding, with icing on top. Real breeders with goals, direction and dreams are often ridiculed by uneducated backyard boxshifter breeders trying to make a living from producing and selling dogs. These very same people and their dominions of fools pour smoke over the average gullable inexperienced dog buyers in order to sell dogs.

Sagekarzari - The Persian Mastiff

Cerberati's picture
written by Cerberati on Friday 04 November 2011 at 19:06

Our first milestone has been reached, our mission statement from day one, was to resurrect the original war dog, the ancestor of the Canis Pugnax. With achieving this milestone, we are now prepared with the blood required to get closer to our goal, total resurrection of the real war dog. In celebration of our achievements thus far, we now have an identity for our Cerberus programme's work. From this day forth, as founding breeder, I name this breed, Sagekarzari - the Persian Mastiff. He is only a 4 month old puppy in this video, but believe me, he'd put many adults of most mastiff-type breeds from CC to bullmastiff to shame in his remarkeable construction and traits.

  • Puppy Availability

Current puppies will be ready for homing on 8th October 2011, no reservations are contractual unless homing conditions are met. Females are available for regular pet-homing, the males require an alpha-strong master, whence strong minded invidividuals with ample athletic capacity are preferred applicants.

  • Heritage

The Cerberus Molossor is the only breed of Cane Corso to stand alone in its unique construction, a life-long programme working towards achieving complete ressurection of the ancient war dogs of Rome. Initially built upon the exclusive line from an aged reclusive farmer, Amerigo from Italy. But now taken far beyond the confines of the showring breed-standard. These are true working classic Corso, light-years apart from the usual boxer/neo derivatives.

  • Powerful Construction

Cerberus Molosser as a derivative breed of Corso is long, tall, the rear-end of a panther, the front-end of a bull, legs wide apart and well angulated, sublime footing, deep chested, packing ounce-for-ounce stacks of fast-twitch muscle fibres and minimum skin.

  • Unadulterated Physical Attributes

The Cerberus molosser has a slighter longer muzzle and a perfect scissor bite, this design is part and parcel that of a wolf, millions of years of evolution. No short-muzzled undershot bite here! Rump and upperthigh-to-lowerthigh intersection designed for optimal leaping when required. Slightly arched front paws to facilitate better grappling of prey, naturally born without rear dew-claws.

  • Raw Working Mentality

The desire for prey is astounding, a dog of this construction with such a patient yet explosive (when necessary) temperament is second to none. A Cerberati dog has the will of fire - this is not an understatement. The desire to fullfil the master's wish and command, the inclination to improve its duties, to never give in, to never surrender. With such a degree of loyalty that it would shame even the most loyal of breeds.
